Abstract
Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah/BBLR adalah bayi yang lahir dengan berat badan kurang dari 2.500 gram tanpa memandang masa kehamilan. Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah/BBLR yang perlu diperhatikan adalah pengaturan suhu tubuh, pasien BBLR cenderung mengalami hipotermi. Hipotermi adalah kondisi dimana suhu tubuh pasien di bawah normal. Terapi nonfarmakologis yang dapat digunakan untuk mempertahankan suhu tubuh BBLR adalah Perawatan Metode Kanguru/Kangoroo Mother Care/KMC. Terapi ini dilakukan selama 1 jam dengan intensitas 1-2x sehari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pre dan post Perawatan Metode Kanguru/Kangoroo Mother Care/KMC untuk mempertahankan suhu tubuh pada Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah/BBLR. Subjek dalam studi kasus ini adalah adalah pasien BBLR dengan hipotermia dan bersedia menjadi responden. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi pemantauan derajat suhu tubuh yang dialami pasien. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Perawatan Metode Kanguru/Kangoroo Mother Care/KMC berpengaruh terhadap suhu tubuh pada Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah/BBLR. Berdasarkan hasil studi kasus dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahwa Perawatan Metode Kanguru/Kangoroo Mother Care/KMC terbukti efektif mempertahankan suhu tubuh pada Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah/BBLR.
